Now more than ever, people are consuming content. That is why it is so important as a realtor to not only be sharing content but to be sharing content that is going to attract the community that you want to serve. TOP 6 CONTENT IDEAS FOR REALTORS 1. Document the Home Purchasing/Selling Process One of the biggest pieces of advice I give our clients is: document, don’t create (as much as possible anyway). Optimize on opportunities to document as much as you can! This doesn’t just save you time, it allows you to seize moments where you can be truly authentic & show your community what it’s like to work with you- and who doesn’t want to see that?! If you’re at a home inspection, show your community what the process looks like. Introduce your home inspector & tag them! Ask them questions on camera if they are comfortable, see if they are willing to explain some of the things they are doing. They will MORE than likely be stoked to share it on their page which will bring more traffic to yours. Win/win! 2. Document Your Clients Journey/Process on Video. When you’re on your way to your first meeting with a new client, whip out your phone as you're walking to the coffee shop/meeting destination & tell your audience what you’re doing: “heading into a sellers meeting with _____!” Fast forward: your seller's meeting goes AMAZING (duh!) You sign a new client. In your meeting let them know that you love to showcase as much as possible of your work on social media & ask if they are comfortable with you documenting some of their journey. When you get permission, document the most exciting parts of the process. Staging their home, the day you put it up for sale, the story behind why their home is special to them, when you accept an offer, when the home sells. The clips don’t have to be long, in fact- better that they are short. Then, INSTEAD of a testimonial post or one of those posts of your clients outside of the home with a sold sign- put your clips together in a reel & tell their story. 3. Video Home Tours OK, this one is a no brainer! There’s a reason why people love watching HGTV, hoarders & Selling Sunset. There’s something about seeing the inside of someone's home that we as humans just LOVE. This is also one of the easiest ways to capture video that is appealing to your audience. Holding an open house? Give them a video tour! Went home to visit your parents? Give them a tour of your parents home. Walking around a cute neighborhood? Take a video of the houses on the street. Talk about what you like/don’t like- share some professional insight if there is any to give. 4. Capture Video of Your Team Behind the Scenes Being given a sneak peak into the world of a team or an individual who works on their own is a phenomenal way to attract the type of people you want to work with. I say to our clients all the time, “people want to know who you are before they care about what you do.” Have a team meeting? Snag a quick video. A photoshoot? Snag a video. Seize opportunities to capture video/content that will show the personality/energy of the team or you. 5. Informative/Educational Videos With everything going on in the world there is so much you can offer your community in terms of education. Do a monthly market update, share your thoughts on what is going on in the world if you think it will or will not affect the market, share knowledge on out-of-state investments, hop on a FB/IG live with your lender partner to answer questions about the financial side of real estate. This type of content is typically planned but can be on the whim as well. I recommend doing at least one informative video per month but ideally one a week. 6. Document Your Personal Life If you’re comfortable with it, this can be one of the most powerful things you can post as a realtor. As humans, we love feeling like we connect with people or share common interests. When you share your beach day with your family, an exciting milestone with your health goals, the fact that you LOVE coffee & your morning routine, horseback riding or gardening…these are the things that people will resonate with you on a human level. So don’t forget to document your life! My suggested balance for content is 75/25. 75% you, 25% work.

The Best Content Strategy is Pointless Without Consistency. When people know they can expect to receive content from you consistently they see you as someone reliable/trustworthy. When you show up inconsistently they start to see you as someone they don't know if they can trust.
